This month we will highlight the miniature schnauzer. The minature schanuzer is found in the Terrier Group. It's two larger cousins the Standard Schnauzer and the Giant Schanuzer are found in the Working Group. The United States and Canada are the only two countries to continue toplace the miniature schanuzer in the Terrier Group, in other Countries the Mini is found in the non-sporting or Utility Group. The Schnauzer began as a yard and stable dog, responsible for ratting and killing vermin, but also helped herd livestock.The AMerican Miniature Schnauzer Club Recognizes 3 colors of schnauzers: Salt & Pepper, Black & Silver and Black. Schanuzers not only compete in Conformation, but in Rally, Obedience, Agility and Earth Dog.
